The Black Organizing Project hosted Our Story of Art & Music, a political education event, last week, at the Joyce Gordon Gallery to bring the Black community together for a talk on Black art & music and the impact it’s had in our community!
We listened to the perspectives of our panelists, which included: a jazz musician, an educator, and a designer. Each of them brought a strong perspective of Black culture to the topic of music and the arts in our community.
Our members potlucked the home-cooked meal we enjoyed, and the poets and music talent were great!
Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy this event with us! Check out this video of the event to hear more about the event!
