Pushback on School Pushout for the 2013 Week of Action

It’s the fourth annual Dignity in Schools Campaign Week of Action and there are students, parents, and community organizations working all across the nation to bring awareness to school pushout, the school-to-prison pipeline, and over-criminalization of youth of color, LGBTQ and immigrant youth.

For the 2013 Week of Action, The Black Organizing Project and our Bay Area DSC partners are releasing a Week of Action Video Series on School Pushout, covering topics like Racial Disparities in School Discipline, Restorative Justice, and Investment in Education Not Incarceration.

Throughout the week we’ll be uploading new videos right here to our blog, and on our Facebook and Twitter throughout the week.

Help us kick off the Week of Action with our theme for Monday, September 30th – Racial Disparities in School Discipline. Watch the first of our video series below!
