With over a decade of experience championing the rights of BIPOC youth, Jamila has been at the forefront of the fight for educational, social, and economic justice in California. Previously serving as the Membership and Organizing Director at Power California, Jamila’s work is fueled by her passion for racial justice and a commitment to building a world where all people can live in freedom and dignity. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted belief in building equitable futures. When she’s not organizing, Jamila loves spending time in community, playing with her fur baby, dancing, and backpacking in the backcountry.
